Or you can spend several thousand dollars and get your email and Os on a Unix machine.

Or you could spend $500 or so on hardware and get Linux. But, then you wouldn't be able to run the world of Windows software, of which Bill informs us Microsoft is just a tiny part. When that's convenient, of course. Bill also is not hobbled by the hobgoblin of small minds.

Cheers, Dan.

P.S. Notice the big yawn on the Celeriac rollout? Maybe Intel can pay off Michael Dell to say what a great thing that is. But don't worry, the proprietary lock will rule the sub-1k computer, right Reggie?

The reason you choose MSFT products is
because you feel they are the best, otherwise you would be on Apple or Unix, which both cost
more. Therefore, Windows is good for the conumer.

No. Technically, Windows has never had the best OSes. The reason that everyone buys them is because everyone buys them. And because most 3rd-party software is available for Windows first and often only. And the reason for all of this is because MSFT was backed by IBM. This is what got the whole Catch-22 ball of wax going.
