My therapist friend said if my boys have made it to 15 and 17 (heck my 15 hasn't had his first date yet)they're above the norm now. I couldn't be more delighted with their social retardation. And you are to be congratulated on yours. I agree with you about the rightness of the parents taking in the child. It was their peculiar attitude about the situation that astonished me. Unless they are being very clever. Someone once told me to NEVER criticize a girlfriend no matter what we really thought. Although this teacher thing would seem to fall beyond the pale... And yes-I would raise the child too, in that circumstance. Their son was a victim as much as the poor baby. I would want that woman to sign away her parental rights though.
