Paul,

Thanks for presenting the "bear" case on this stock.

Of particular interest to me was fraud potential. Do you know of many Hong Kong stocks that are impacted by fraud, and how does this ratio compare to U.S. stocks? My understanding is that Hong Kong financial reporting is generally reliable.

Again, appreciate the "bear" case.

Shane

Thanks for your comments as a novice investor in this business I have brrn getting the impression that it is not that easy to get into this business and steal customers that once deswell gets a customer it is likely to retain that customer as long as the product is produced. Also is it not possible that some of this production will be used by the chinese themselves. Where do you see the competitive threats coming from?

To me it seems that Deswell has improbable margins that are normally sustainable only by monopolies with patent protection or brand loyalty. COuld this be the case with Deswell?

However given the company's cash, and sales growth how much downside could there be?

Paul,

As one that follows the entire ECM sector, would you please post on the 3-5 year growth opportunities for Deswell? I realize that Deswell is not your pure ECM company since they have relied on Jetcrown (and Kwanta) in the past, but the prime area for future growth appears to be in ECM through Kwanasia assembly.

I am preparing a 12 month estimated revenue and earnings estimate based on current information. It's a bigger project than I thought because there are so many variables. I need a sector growth analysis with focus on Deswell's operation to estimate the last two Qs.
