I am pleased with the first quarter results, especially the $8.7 million in royalties and licensing revenues. Could they reach $40 million by the end of the year? The trajectory of this aspect of the balance sheet would indicate that. I would accept $1.66/share for the year, would any of you?

Given the repeated warnings about the seasonality of their product sales the only fair comparison is to look as first quarter sales from 1997 and by most measures they outdistanced those results. Also nice to see that despite 8 million or so less in cash on hand that the account payables declined in concert. They also have not tapped into deferred revenues to any significant degree and that is composed primarily of royalties/licensing dollars which have been squirreled away.

Glad that there were no surprises, good or bad. That way the stage is set for the remainder of the year and we have a solid platform to stand on.
