Idea for a new thread: "Microsoft Windows '98: Extremely Worthless?" I wonder if anyone on this thread knows much about Windows '98. It seems natural that a chat group will soon emerge on SI about the new operating system. I would be happy to start this thread, only I am not a beta tester, and computers are not my field. I wonder if all the beta testers had to sign a contract which requires them to remain silent about how useless and overpriced the program appears to be? If nobody else wants to do this, I'll probably start the thread in a couple weeks, for better or worse. Unless the Justice Department actually stops MSFT from releasing the integrated browser which I have been conscientiously avoiding. abcnews.com I think all that is involved is sending a post to the webmistress.
