Tried to find the phone # for Thomson Kernaghan but couldn't find a listing. Anybody know what it is? Hey, no harm in asking a question.
If they don't want to tell me they will say so. That's Ok. The dumbest question is the one you don't ask.

Cheers,

Sorry, haven't heard a thing. All's quiet, while our "dog and pony" show is on the road. But I'll wager the other investment houses will be directing their analysts to look at GPW, now that they've had that $47Million wake-up call yesterday! The cachet of simply replacing everything just took a serious hit IMO, and a new respect is about be generated for quality companies like GPW offering to convert existing systems to Y2K compliance. If the TSE had not been so 'wise' :-') and simplistic, and asked GPW to help as a consultant with their conversion earlier than this late date, the member firms might not be coughing up that much money, nor would their customers, who are us. This sort of delay costs all of us. Hopefully, we'll make a little bit back from a stock price increase for GPW, COG, etc. IMO though, it will continue fairly quiet until they return from Washington, then we should see some upward momentum on volume when the trip results can be known. I feel we need be patient for only a matter of days now. While it's so quiet, I perhaps can afford to waste a little of your time with some conversational debate such as this. That is, we can be a bit "chatty" for a while, I hope.

I hope Mr. Forthright simply joins us with well-thought out and researched input, and he is not what you suspect. I like to think that these forums give every serious and honest person a real chance, and a second one if they need it, to contribute to a reasoned debate. Let's see what he has to say next.

Your 'moniker' is great! All us net lurkers and posters wind up with a little of that. Hope you will post some more on this thread.

Murray.
