Conference call expects revenue for next quarter to be in line with last year, isn't that what Francis said?

I'm on the call, and I heard "flat revenues for the next two quarters, growth perhaps in December quarter." But Fred also said that operating costs will continue to drop slightly.

I'm a little disappointed that my .68 number didn't happen...NOT.

Thanks everyone for sharing the belief that it was worth holding till this fine moment.

Unfortunately, Bloomberg still referred to AAPL as "struggling computer maker" while announcing the earnings surprise. Oh well, we can't win 'em all. (at least CNN HL's report was glowing!)

I am insanely jealous of those who were able to pick up the April 27.5s at 1/4 a few days after I bought all of my 30s at 1/4. I'm a bright shade of Granny Smith apple green!

What do our "cautiously optimistic" think of Apple's chances of breaking the strong 30 resistance level before April expiry?

Does anyone expect a big run-up tomorrow and then a correction/selloff/profit-taking on Friday? Or should we see healthy gains on both days?

At least volume should be high with all of the positive press.

Cheers,
Michael D. Muzzie

MarcN sez: "Just what Alomex needs, another Marckq to keep track of."

<gloat>I'm sure he'll have time - not much shorting to do right now...</gloat>

MarcN sez: "I'm really impressed with the guidance that Apple gave us the last quarter. We knew where they expected to take expenses, we knew enough to make guesses about margins, and we knew that revenues would be lower. Thanks to the good work by some people here, we knew that even $1.4 billion could be profitable."

Yeah, that's made it all the more rewarding. Just solid straight forward good business planning (I think M. Anderson deserves HUGE pats). Even their approach to the bad news/hard choices is reasonably refreshing. No sugar coating - just making their choices and living with them - although I'm sure there are those who would disagree.

Always impressed by those here that can cut through the major mounds of cattle waste out there and pull together numbers, strategies, pricing, volumes. Doubly (.38/.16?) impressed today...

You know who you are. Take a bow.
