William, I geniunely wish you luck on your SEEK short and all your trading, but I really do think you are insane to stand in the way of this thing. Even if Infoseek were peddling a cold fusion formula or claiming the largest gold find in history, the fact is that the stock will keep going up simply because it's a frenzied industry in a historically strong part of the year during an unprecedented bull market. It's also dollar-cheap, making lucrative daytrades extremely feasible. My opinion is worth nothing more than anyone else's, but it's unlikely that anyone's going to pay attention to fundamentals of most Internet stocks until there are so many copycat companies that we're able to distinguish a good one from a bad one. Until then, a "bad" Internet company or "overvalued" Internet company doesn't exist by any cogent definition. But again, good luck to you. I'm long SEEK, CMGI, AOL, YHOO, and LCOS, and loving it.
