Madness!? The contestants are merely falling all over themselves to be in position to win the mysterious prize which I can promise will not fail to appeal to even the most hardened cynic.

Frank,

Can't find that article.......maybe you can post it for us? You can do this by cutting and pasting the URL here. The link is created automatically when you type in any address with your post, (even fake ones like whereintheworldisshane.com?!, although these don't actually link ;).

BTW My opinion?...not to worry....shane is probably just exercising his right to go poof. He's done this before. So has Duane. And, maybe even Dipy, lately.....
I'll go poof when the $$$$ runs out, but it just keeps piling up and making me a slave to it. <gg>

C'mon Frank, help fight stress, what price do you think LSI will be at on August 14th?

Cheers!
E

Frank:

Don't get too concerned about DVD. With any new technology there are lots of dissenting views. DVD will do fine. I like TSO's view that the PC adoption will drive DVD sales. Plus we had the Warner smart move of renting out the players. That is brilliant. LSI may not be as successful in the PC arena as I had thought because LSI's implementation is in a daughter card and that means that such cards won't be going into the fast growing sub-1000 market. Which I guess is not good. But then I think they are doing all right in the DVD player market, so maybe things are not that bad after all. Plus maybe the PC DVD players need MPEG-2 chips from LSI anyway. Not sure. On the other hand VLSI is touting their DIVX security chip and expect big things this year from it. We shall have to see how things pan out. But I'm still hoping that the DVD market will be a big market for LSI.

Shane.
