Accent Implements Significant Cost Reductions

Wednesday, April 15, 1998 06:59 PM

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Accent Software International, Ltd.
(Nasdaq: ACNTF and ACNUF), announced today that, as part of its program to bring its cash
expenditures into line with its expected revenue levels, it has implemented a significant
staff reduction in all offices.

"In its most recently filed 1O-K, Accent committed that there would be a significant
reduction in its staff during the month of April. We have taken the painful, but necessary
step of reducing our worldwide headcount by 28 persons," stated Todd Oseth, President and
CEO. "The remaining 35 employees in Accent, including more than 20 persons in our product
development departments, are the best people to carry forward Accent as it reaches a
leadership position in the Language Information Technology (LIT) market.

"By implementing these staff reductions, Accent has effectively decreased its monthly cash
requirements by over 40% and can still attain planned revenue," added Oseth. "The reductions
are part of an overall plan for the Company which, we believe, when fully and successfully
implemented will enable Accent to achieve the goal of profitability."

I join shoot1st in steering everyone AWAY from waterhouse.... webbroker (their alleged online brokerage) is slow inaccurate confusing and prices are based on day old quotes. Limit orders on stocks that have moved in price are impossible, and once they stopped me out of a stock by error. They corrected the mistake, but not until after 20 minutes of being on hold... Waterhouse blows.....
