among the first companies to sell systems based on new technologies from INTEL CORP. The new
lineup, most of which will be available for purchase this month, spans a wide range and covers desktop

INTEL CORP CFO Andy Bryant said the semiconductor giant moved too fast to add employees and
on capital spending and was taking action to cut back. "We got ahead of ourselves in adding heads and
in cap spending," Bryant told analysts on a conference call. "What we are trying to do is take a breath
and let the business grow back up." Intel plans to reduce its head count over the next six months by
3,000 people, mostly through attrition. Intel said in its news release that capital spending for 1998 will be
$5 billion, less than prior guidance of $5.3 billion. (Reuters 06:49 PM ET 04/14/98) For the full text

INTEL CORP said that it expects its revenues in the 3Q of 1998 to be higher than those in the 2Q.
"Starting from 3Q, we are expecting volume...to pick up once again," Michael Aymar, Intel vice
president and consumer product group general manager, told a news conference in Tokyo. He said this
would follow a slight dip in revenue volume in the 2Q against the 1Q. Aymar said the company's
shipments of chips would be helped by a recovery in the personal computer industry it expects in the
3Q. He said sluggish earnings results in the 1Q were due to a nearly worldwide weakness in PC
demand, especially in Japan. (Reuters 12:53 AM ET 04/15/98)

Late yesterday, COMPAQ COMPUTER CORP said it plans to announce several new personal
computers incorporating INTEL CORP's new Celeron microprocessor, a low-priced chip aimed at
inexpensive home systems. Details and pricing for the new systems were not immediately available, but
a spokeswoman for Compaq said the company would announce the systems in conjunction with Intel's
launch of the Celeron product line. Some analysts had speculated that Celeron would not receive
universal support from PC companies, and that some top names in the industry, like Compaq, might not
produce systems build around the chip. (Reuters 06:29 PM ET 04/14/98)

Intel Corporation (INTC) INTEL CORP said it expected solid demand in Europe for PCs based on new high-speed computer
chips, despite the market's trend toward low-priced machines. The company, which unveiled Pentium II
processors running at 350 and 400 megahertz and a new inexpensive chip for home PCs, said some
segments of the PC market continued to seek more and more performance even as sales of computers
priced under $1,000 boomed. (Reuters 08:47 PM ET 04/14/98) For the full text story, see full story

Intel Corporation (INTC)

INTEL CORP detailed prices for its three new processors at the world-wide unveiling of the new
models in Munich. The company said it would be charging customers $824 for the 400 megahertz
Pentium II processor and $621 for its 350-megahertz processor. Celeron would cost $155, the company
said. Intel said prices for all processors already in its range would be cut by an average of 30%.

Good Evening Margaret,

Well it looks like there was not too much damage today with Intel. I was expecting the bottom to fall out after the shot that it took yesterday from our road warrior, Tom Cat Kurlac. Maybe Merrill will put him back in his cage and let everybody relax soon so the action and good times can continue.

Hope you had a nice Thursday. I was thinking about taking up smoking and drinking but there are too many people doing that already.

I am growing tired of waiting for my next music web site as I think it is time now to take control of my Destiny and move forward.

Warm Regards
Frank
