Bearshark, I enjoyed the article. You may be interested in knowing that tomorrow's Investors Business Daily has a similar article and quotes the Evening Standard article you linked.

Thanks for the link to the interesting article on the Fed. Do you believe that the Fed is as worried as the author claims?

Best wishes,

PS - When I said that the Dow will see 8,000 before it sees 6,900, I never dreamed that we would have a run like this! I'm still grossly overweighted in equities, but I sure am getting nervous.

Nice link. At this site I also liked these headlines:
Pub duo lines up
œ1bn float

PUB barons Hugh
Osmond and Roger
Myers are planning a
"beauty parade" of
brokers to steer a œ1
billion-plus flotation of
Punch Taverns and the
Wellington Pub
Company.

and:
High risks in the charge for shares

If share prices dip, most of us swallow hard and cash in some of
our gains. There are no such qualms with many German investors
- they just buy more. Once a phobia, investing in shares has
become a German passion. "Equity mania" has been a regular
headline this year

Nothing unique on this side of the Atlantic.
