John,

You will never know how a stock will react throughout the day. Too many variables. If you study the arena you're in, over a few week you will begin to form instinct. Once done follow yourself FIRST.

The best advise I can give other than that above is to remember:

There are thousands of stocks and every day some of them are going to be big hits. Two eyes....one mouth....Two ears...this ratio exists for a purpose. Assume everybody lies to some extent. Except me of course.

Shoot1st.

John,

if you own the stock and it gaps, 90% of the time you should sell as it peaks soon after open. You'll lose money trying to find the other 10% so don't worry about catching them -- You can always get back in after the pullback if it decides to run further but quite often the opening gap run is the high for the day
