Paul,

Great to see you and David posting to thread again. As usual, you have been able to put it all in perspective.

I'm with jrector, a yellow bull, asking myself every day if my confidence in Deswell is warranted, constantly looking for the downside.

On HongKong/China investing. I read the HongKong Standard every morning. There has been very little of the fraud that has hit Japan and other Asian countries. Over the past year I have found far more, shall we say 'inconsistencies' in US companies than I see in the HongKong/China companies with US investors.

I see the chances of fraud with Deswell as nonexistent. They are audited by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. The earnings are in CASH! There's no playing with inventory. Depreciation is very high with 3 year writeoffs. No 'goodwill'. None of the hidden things I always look for when doing financial research on a company. 'Consistency' has been the word to describe Deswell's reports. Each one has been a progression from the last one and almost predictable, except they keep outperforming projections (in cash).

Thanks agin for an excellent post,
Ron
