Subscribers.

Jim,

I saw the posting, and I was disappointed (but not surprised) that they refused to break out the internet service subscriber numbers. When WIRL management was asked the same question in their recent call, they answered quickly and precisely. They even stuck their necks out with firm projections for year end numbers. CVUS' refusal to release its own numbers and projections suggests they are not doing well in this area and are forced to rely on hype and promises. Now if New Media (HLIT) could come forth with some vendor financing to expedite the NY build out and buttress the sales effort, this might turn the CVUS downward spiral around. But this doesn't look to hopeful at present.

Still, plain old broadband spectrum physics makes the CVUS license a valuable commodity. Perhaps the vulture capitalists who provided the recent $10 million bailout realize this. Otherwise, why would they bother to make a "convertible" deal at all?

Also, what do you make of the 10-K allegation that CAWS' MMDS two-way wireless project for New York is floundering and faces much greater technical hurdles than LMDS?

All in all, not a very impressive conference call. I was particularly concerned about the apparent lack of questions from investment firms or professional market analysts (no offense to you), although I may be wrong here since the callers' affiliations were not identified. Could it be that even Asensio has given up on CVUS?
