RE:" NIKKEI After-Hours "

AAPL had an earnings surprise today, and after-hours trading was halted. I meandered over to the AAPL thread on SI and this very clever fellow fires up yahoo's quotes.jp page and finds the ticker 'number' (the Nikkei use mostly numeric stock symbols) for AAPL, which is traded over there, and finds that it is up 7% on the Nikkei today (tonight).

What a great idea! Many stocks are listed on the FTSE/DAX/CAC as well as the NYSE/AMEX/NASDAQ and the NIKKEI, etc.

Steve, thanks a bunch for all the WEBS! I've entered them all into my weekly MACD system and it makes a very interesting picture! So now I've got an Intl BAMBI to play with -- current reading 10/7 positive.

It's amazing how most of the markets move together, although at different degrees. I see a topping all over the world. Much more fun than just seeing it here.

I recognize that this game is an art and not a science! Just out of curiosity, can we leverage the WEBS or do we have to determine the bell-weather in each of them? From MHO TA view Switzerland is looking the weakest in Europe. As might be expected, most of the rest of the negatives are in the Pacific.

Accountants have been defined as those that come onto the battlefield to shot the wounded -- just to say they were involved. I'm about as staid and conservative as you get, but I have come to understand the proper use of leverage. I look forward to the next few months to see if this works.
