Joey--Thanks for posting the Y2K links.
The link about the sanctuary in South Dakota caught my eye. As one who was born there it sounds like a lot of ignorance is in action in a lot of ways. A South Dakota winter particularly out on the praire is fierce. The statements like "No one is going to starve in South Dakota" shows some real ignorance. There were some awfully hungry people in my youth there. Mostly poor American Indians but hungry and cold they were. It is a hard land and not one that easily supports people.
This cure sounds a lot worse than the disease. I wish I could short that community they are building.
