Hi DZ,
At this point I don't see any new shorts coming into VLSI for much profit. There might be some disgruntled medium term investors that will lose faith, but there shouldn't be enough of them around to make much of an impact either.

All in all, it would appear that the storm clouds are breaking up. Today and Friday (options) should make for some rather odd trading patterns, but then VLSI should settle into a positive ramp for the remainder of the quarter and probably the rest of the year.

All this is pure conjecture on my part. My long position in VLSI dates to 1990, so I've seen it cycle before.
