Your reasons don't seem to make a good short position.

1a. Lousy management when it comes to marketing - maybe.
1b. Atrocious financials - not really.
1c. One product - wrong.

2. Teetering on the edge of profitability - yes.

3. Cyberguard is in no position to exploit this business - wrong.

4. Read the last 10-Q and don't see the "short me now" indicators.

5. Stewart - correct

Anyway, what do you see in the 10-Q that says short. Is it the cash, the burn rate? Lets hear it.

I totally agree with Bill Wexler on the following:

> Never, ever, ever trust a stock promoted by David Stewart.
> Mr. Stewart makes his living by spreading hype through his
> newsletter, fax service, and the internet. the vast majority
> of investors who get involved in Stewart picks end up
> losing money. If you don't believe me, then ask Jas about
> his experience with Zitel.

I put my money on 4 of Stewart's picks - which he constantly
touted as money making opportunities of a lifetime :-(

One of the 4 went bankrupt (PARR); I am losing heavy money
on 2 more (VID, ZITL) and on the last (CYBG) - am hopefully
going to make some money.

Is there a newsgroup on "Stewart bashing" ?

Bill,

All your points are taken, however none is backed by any logic or reason. They are all more of an opinion than logical statements.

You state:
> 1) Cyberguard is a one product company with lousy management and atrocious financials.

Why do you say this? Do you have any reasons/proof for your claims.

You state:
2) Despite all the awards and accolades, Cyberguard has only been succesful in selling one thing - more stock.

Again why do you say this? I have no idea what you are trying to imply. If you are concerned with the company issuing shares, first of all the company has about 8 million shares which is really nothing, and second of all even if they issue shares for their finances, so what? Many companies do, and in fact I find that very attractive since I rather have a strong balance sheet rather than few outstanding shares (if I have to choose between the 2).

You state:
> I agree that network security is a growing concern and business opportunity. Unfortunately, Cyberguard is in no position to exploit this business.

Again why do you say this? Just take a look at their last revenue increase of 62%! I would think any company that can increase its revenue by 62% is doing a very good job of exploiting its market, dont you?!

You state:
> 4) Read the last 10-Q.

Yes, so what about it?

You state:
> 5) Never, ever, ever trust a stock promoted by David Stewart.

I have no idea who Mr. Stewart is and do not care either! When I invest I do my own research, look at the fundamentals of the company and the sector that company is in. CYBG, in my opinion, is in an excellent position to grow very rapidly.

Addi Jamshidi

Bill,

I havw made money on most of the stocks TOUTED by David Stewart since I subscribed. Some had quick run-ups and some (like CYBG) have taken a LONG time. There have been a couple of disappointments along the way- remember to cut your losses short (no pun intended) and (for me) take the double and move on to the next one.

Bill...talking to you is like talking to a wall...Let's try this again. If I infact bought my Zitel shares on the rec. of the Individual Investor(SSR) 6/96...months before Mr. Stewart decided to place a buy rec. how am I loosing money??? Yes, I have bought additional shares over the past few months ranging from $10-13. So, could you please explain to me the lesson I should have learned. By the way, I actually agree with some of your points regarding Mr. Stewart....NOW THAT IS A NEWS FLASH...WEXLER AND SINGH AGREE ON SOMETHING.
In regards to ALTIF, once again, if you had bothered to check how long I have been posting on that thread, you may have discovered when and at what price I purchased most of my shares. Once again, you have not done your homework but rather make sloppy accusations and comments...ie CYBG has only one product. THIS STATEMENT IN ITSELF UNDERSCORES YOUR UTTER LACK OF KNOWLEDGE WHEN IT COMES TO THIS COMPANY!!!! Infact, it's the same problem with Mr. Stewart's assessment of this company. The real diamond in this company is TRADEWAVE...pure and simple.

Sincerely,

Jas
