Mr.Bean, There was at least one other person smiling, didn't you see this morning's Globe and Mail? Right there on the front page was a photo of two of the biggest screwups in the country--Bill Davis and Barbara McDougall. I can't believe how stupid this world is getting. Putting these two boneheads on the board of directors will only serve to make Cowpland look good. Bill Davis is absolutely the WORST director in Canadian Corporate history. As a director, he has overseen the biggest corporate busts, all the while sleeping through it. As for McDougall, well the sight of her stiff smile is enough to make me puke. As a Minister in the Mulroney government, she was an inept, incompetent, hypocritical and useless manager, particularly in her role as Minister of Immigration. I guess these two idiots have the right stuff to sit on Corel's board . Of course, they will be rewarded handsomely in the form of stock options, the biggest ripoff known to the capitalist system. For their contribution (what a joke) they will get to cash in and probably walk away with millions of dollars that legitimately belongs to the shareholders and employees of Corel. Isn't it great how these politicians keep getting elected to boards. Seldom does a day go by that we don't see one of these slimeballs getting his rightful place on some board of directors. Frank McKenna, David Peterson, heck even the socialist Bob Rae has jumped on the gravy train. You wonder why there will not be now, nor will there ever be any reform of the system, well there is your answer. The same greaseballs that are elected to reform the system are part of the system they are suppose to reform. WHAT A JOKE!!! Will people wake up one day??
