<<IMHO - Ampex may release some news as the shareholders meeting scheduled for 05/15/98 is fast approaching.>>

That isn't AXC's style, Tom. At least not up to now. I expect the meeting to be a nonevent.
Thanks for the post Gus. That sector sure has the market's gleefull attention.
My very distinct impression is that initially the funds will be used just as Red Chip said- to expand the DST offering. Sales are falling, and they are trying to counteract that. As the company has said, any efforts they make in that direction will take time to grab hold. I really do believe that we are in for a few more rough quarters, both in terms of earnings and quite possibly share price. Something will have to catch the market's imagination, and remove it's focus from falling revenues and profits for this to be anything other than another rough year for shareholders.

Thomas,

As along term holder of Ed's company, don't bet on that idea. The shareholders meeting IS a non event for AXC, always has been. Few questions are answered by management.

IMHO, the only thing relevant is the status of the lawsuit appeal. Nothing will move this stock. The street has lost confidence in Ed, as his KM project fell flat on its' face.

Since AXC is essentially, at this point, nothing more than a revenue collector for patent royalty streams, is there anything to get excited about. Not that I can see. Remember the royalty streams reduce year by year.

If however, AXC wins the case on appeal, a short pop might occur giving us time to bail, before the next inevitable appeal. The only ones that get to profit from AXC it appears are the lawyers....what a system. Can I buy stock in that law firm?
