I love ESV, I own ESV, and I agree with you that their results were very strong. The only negative I see is the likelihood of additional analysts bringing 2nd Q and 1998 earnings estimates down not only for ESV, but for every driller with GOM exposure. I expect ESV to get some good action when they announce (assuming they announce) plans to build a semi-sub. Baird, which of the deep water drillers -- other than RIG -- doesn't have GOM jack-up exposure? FLC?
