*AV*--This was posted by myself on April 16th in response to Jake's Mom: As far as the CYMI and DPMI are concerned, DPMI made a healthy run and was flipped into PLAB which seemed to be lagging behind. I have decided to catch these two out of phase companies as a means of accelerating some profits. Rarely do they both move in sync with each other. I am getting ready to exit PLAB with a nice gain and roll back into DPMI. As far as CYMI is concerned, the appropriate thing would have been to exit yesterday with a nice profit but my decision was and still is to hold tight for the break out. This company will get recognized and will perform. DUV lithography is like an unstable time bomb. It can explode at anytime given the right circumstances but will explode within a given timeframe. In CYMI's case, it is definitely 24 months or less. The upside is a rapid realization that DUV will need to be implemented regardless of the Asian Crisis, fab expansions, or 300mm conversions. Well, I did make some decent money on PLAB but I shoulda (whine, Whine) used other funds instead of flipping the DPMI. Missed a good run up on DPMI but still made some nice $$$ on PLAB. Next time I use the dead funds to do this type of flipping. Less likely to have both going up at the same time<GGG> CYMI-nice situation and the break out occurred. A very good TA guy from Everen Securities stated that CYMI would run into resistance at $30 so I had a sell in for 29.875 to cover myself. No, it did not get executed but some shares WERE taken off the table in the low 29s just in anticipation of earnings backlash. BTW-Front Page of the local paper has an article relating to the ADPT and Symbios acquisition. The FTC is asking for more information and may have an issue with the two largest SCSI producers falling under the same umbrella. I think the deal will go through but if it doesn't, well, that is $775 million that ADPT gets to put in its back pocket. Then the naysayers of this deal should start pumping the stock back up a few points. Again, I stiull think the deal will go through but it will be delayed. Andrew
