C'mon shege, you know I was a code slinger for a long before getting into the street side of things. I hate being called a finance or accounting weenie. I view myself as dilbert first - finance second. (I think it says that on my business card.)

Melissa:

What I meant was if you have a fear that the stock could collapse below $30 (let's say a 10% chance) then owning the 30 calls, you'd have no risk below $30 other than the call.

VNTV call premiums are too rich for me, it would seem cheaper to just buy the stock outright.

Generally with options you need to hold your watch to your ear - the sound you hear (yes if it's analog and especially if it's a swatch) tick, tick, tick.... is the sound of your options depreciating. I think the rule of thumb is 90% of all options expire worthless, that's why I like to sell them.
