I'mm going to have to disagree emile. This is why JER 24:6 " for i will set mine eyes upon them for good, and i will bring them again to this land : and will build them, and not pull them down; and will plant them, and not pluck them up" They were plucked up after the return from babylon. After the temple was built, was it not torn down? JER 23:6 " in his days judah shall be saved, and israel shall safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS." These are promises from god they will be kept. judah will be saved. JER 29:10 " for thus saith the lord ,that after seventy years be accomplished at babylon i will vist you, and preform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place." this sets the subject in place. JER 29:14 " and i will be found of you, saiththe lord: and i will turn away your captivity and i will gather you from all nations, and from all places i have driven you, saith the lord;and i will bring you again into the place whence i caused you to be carried away captive". Notice that when the subject is set in place there are no promises. These are gods chosen people,he loves them dearly. But they have a role to play in gods plan of salvation, because of this role satan attacks them relentlessly. Also because of their role in gods plan of salvation the promises could not apply at the time of the return from babyonian captivity, because the lambs had to be spilled or you would still have to pay for your sins. I'mm still reseaching shalom's response
