I don't know about a head fake, but I would guess this drop will spook a lot of traders and they will start to look to sell on any upticks.

Baird, one point which may support your thinking -- not only are the shallow water drillers selling off, but so are the deep water drillers and the service companies. I'm seeing roughly average volume, though, as opposed to the last few down days which were very light.
