INCA usually shows up where there are maket inefficiencies either to the up or down side. You are generally right that they can give some very shortterm trend like for two or three minutes. After that they are no better then you or I. Watch CMGI it should run this afternoon and tomorrow if all is well with SEEK earnings and they seem to be.

ISLD is usually guys like you and me. So you are following the day traders if you shadow ISLD. INCA is Instinet and it is more commonly used by MM's and some daytraders. I would refer to these two as "the herd." And, sometimes it definitely pays to follow the herd...

Other herders (i.e. ECN's), TNTO, ATTN, MWSE, maybe BTRD ("birdturd")...
