Cambodia's Pol Pot Dies

SA-NGAM PASS, Thailand - Cambodia's former Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot, one of the century's most reviled dictators, has died while in hiding in the country's northern jungles, officials said.

Journalists returned from Cambodia Thursday with footage of Pol Pot lying dead inside a simple hut. The pictures showed his body on a bed wearing trousers and a shirt, and partly covered by a green sheet.
