So what is this--5th hand information? :)

Dell rumor?

Interesting wiff, Linda. Can you pursue your "my broker/his budy broker/Dell worker friend" rumor? Maybe his broker friend could dig a little deeper and find out what makes his Dell friend so convinced that he bought some shares in a troubled company.

Actually, it does make some sense if it were true. The European box makers have aligned with zip and arrayed themselves against Sony. I think that about says it all in terms of who will win out in Europe.

So what's going to happen in America? Rocky seems to think we'll adopt a completely different standard here with Sony. I doubt that. Does Dell and others want to fall in line with Sony? If not then who? They're going to have to make a choice. It's clear who they have already chosen. So since they know now who the winner will be why not buy them when they're down? The institutions are already doing that. Buy low, sell high. It's just that simple.
