The beta guy told me that, with respect to options, the beta migrates to 1, so the beta becomes the delta. He said watching beta on options is a waste of time. Please give a specific example, I will print it out, bring it to him on Saturday, and get a specific answer. He was quite clear at the time but I made the mistake of asking him the bond question at the same time....for Fred...and got completely goofed out. The bond question is out of his field, so I can ask someone else, but he said the TICK on bonds fouls up the MF with respect to the Lazlo Birinyi technique and I understood what he was saying at the time but we had a few whiskeys right away and I need to regroup on that one as well.
