They did indeed, but they used the qualifier 'moderately'. Yet Ericsson, Nokia, ... do not seem to be having a moderate year. They are still expanding pretty rapidly. So, VLSI must be expecting one of two things: 1) that the growth will slow for ERICY, NOK-A, ... or 2) that they will lose market share. That is one thing I would have liked to know.

Another would be why their STB's are suffering, and yet another would be what they were going to do about there struggling computer business. But, they instead gave only very general information, and the analysts didn't really try to pin them down.

On the positive side, they did talk about design wins to some degree, but in my experience when management doesn't address the details of the problems in the cc it is, at best, a neutral sign no matter what spin they put on it.
