You're welcome. Here's a press release that I find very interesting from Chromatic Research:

biz.yahoo.com

The Mpact 2 is a dual port Concurrent Rambus design. If you want to get an idea about the potential for Rambus in real world designs, visit www.chromatic.com. This part is unbelievably cool.

But the reason I bring it up is their support of the Intel Celeron. If Mpact or other designs can bring early acceptance of Rambus into the sub-$1000 PC market, that would just be a wonderful thing. With the high level of integration in Mpact 2, this is just the kind of device that can help reduce the device count on the PC motherboard and drive prices down. I'm sure the people at Chromatic must be drooling at the possibility.

Regards,

Mark
