TRADING QUESTION...

If I put in a limit order for IOM to buy 1000 sh.s if the price goes to $8... What happens if earnings and CC are better than expected and the price goes to $10 in after hours trading (AFT)... Will my broker (Etrade) be able to buy the shares in AFT or will my limit order be voided because the price was surpassed in AFT?

I got nailed in a similar situation with IOM Q4 97... I put a stop loss at $11.25 the day before earnings... The price tumbled well below that number in AHT... Because it was after hours my stop loss didn't get executed and I was still stuck with my 6000 sh.s the next morning when IOM opened in the low $9's...

Any help will be appreciated...
