Dear Emile :

>>16: For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.<<

Have you ever noticed how different people have different weaknesses. Money to one , power over other individuals to another, prestige and status to another. Also someone on this thread once stated that greed could be fear of not having enough. But this is not my main point of responding to you even though I would appreciate your making a comment on that also. My main question to you is as follows.

Could you elaborate on something that I have always had a lot of questions about. When Christ was tempted by satan with the kingdoms of the world in which of the three areas was Christ being tempted with. Also, were the kingdoms literal earthly kingdoms or nations such as what the king Persia controlled or the kingdom of Egypt, or the Roman government for that matter. And could satan for example have delivered the entire Roman government to Christ to control as did Ceasar. Is this what the devil was referring to. In Christ..gregor
