A good friend and neighbour of mine is a lawyer. On his office wall is a print of a French watercolour from about 1830-40. It shows two farmer sort of guys fighting over a cow - one is pulling on the horns and one is pulling on the tail. Both are snarling, you can tell the language is unprintable.

Seated on a stool beside the cow, and milking it, is a well-fed man in tails and top hat, which hat has the label 'Avocat' - 'Lawyer' in French
