Barb,

>Why do you think it's near it's top? I'd rather short it at 100 when it's in a downtrend than to take a chance with topticking it at 130. I just have to much respect for my capital to take the risk of shorting high flyers anymore. There is too much absolute garbage running up in this speculative frenzy.<

Exactly. The garbage is running up. That is a sign of a near top. Also, I don't short. I only buy puts. My losses are limited to what I have purchased. This mania cannot last another 4 weeks. Not at 5 or 10 points a day. Insanity!

Hal

I'm able to pocket 10-15% in no time because I know there is no siren song calling, no greater fool out there that will break me.

There's no guarantee, unfortunately. AVNT was looking very weak, and so I shorted on its last bounce to 15. Unfortunately, it has gone up to 21 or 22, before relaxing somewhat. If I were to short PNDA the next time it pops above 5, I could almost guarantee that it would go up to 8.

Barb,

My biggest mistake yesterday seems to have been buying puts 20 points below current highs, rather than at the money. What a run it would have been today. I'm hoping this portends a complete collapse next week.
