Yeah, and then he quickly says that investors *must* be looking at the future to justify these valuations.

"Clearly ... these stocks are not trading on a fundamental basis."
Hey Jonathan, I guess I can only respond NO DUH! :)

I've still got my 200 short Amazon (kind of my permanent short) but I covered my CDNW near the low today at 33 3/8 for a reasonable short-term gain. Got hurt a little on SEEK before covering in 36s and then I turned around and went long SEEK from 37 15/16 to 40 13/16, quick $$$ in about 10 minutes :) This is insane. SEEK reports tommorrow, not sure when I should begin my short on the search engines but it's looking like it may be time within the next 2 days.

Compared to CDNW and SEEK, AMZN is looking like the "best buy" in internet mania :) At least AMZN will definitely grow revenue faster. I think they are overvalued but they should make $300 million in revenue this year. By contrast, it will be a loooong while before the search engines make that kind of revenue.

Meanwhile 3dfx just blew away estimates entirely (0.50 vs 0.22 consensus). Too bad it's just a great graphics company so it's only valued around $30 and not $300.
