sounds like huge inventories, increase in 70 million in inventory to 316 million, too much sga, margins from 33% to 25%, delay of the Jaz 2, the management giving forecasts for profitability for 4Q 98,

Analysts had predicted $.45 gain for the year, now breakeven.
Sounds like competition, pricing and media sales gone down.

Hank

Good point. My original target was $6 when I went short. So I am hoping that we see $6 by the end of tomorrow. If not, then I will be holding longer. In general, I don't like to short, but I felt the fundamentals on this stock were so bad, that the risk of losing money was minimal.

BTW, did you notice this in the press release: "In fact, by early March, Zip drives shipped surpassed 13 million units". I remember them announcing that zip drive shipments surpassed 11 million back in November of 1997. That means they've only shipped 2 million in the last 4 months. That is a seriously bad indicator of the future of this company (at least in the near term).

Anyway, good luck to you.
