Edward- can Apple's cheap box cost $1200?

I say yes. There are now compelling reasons for everyone to want a computer. Internet and Email are two major applications.

I can not imagine investing without internet access, or subscribing to the WSJ paper edition ever again.

Is it worth a couple of hundred bucks to get a computer that is easy to set up and use? Whatever the 'facts' are, I think a good CompUSA salesman can make a compelling argument to a novice that a All-in-One is going to get them where they want to go, with the least agony.

An AIO (I liked Artemis better)has a very small footprint, which is an additional selling point for the average user. Pick it up, plug it in, connect the phone... done.

Anyway, let's not get stuck on the price. The goal is to meet a consumer need at a price point that is compelling. Quality still counts.
