It is painful to bet bearish with puts and
shorts, but it does not hurt too bad to be
on the sidelines with a lot of cash. Others
can run with the bulls and get gored. Oh
they are riding high now, but watch XCIT
or AOL pull a Cendant on them, yikes. Now
bottom fishers* like me wont be heroes in this
market, but I'll still be standing a year or
two from now.

Well I think I'll be okay--with one risky
biotech, one tiny mining company, and a
little software company...I suppose there is
a chance I'll die too if this market ever
crashes. But I'll still have a bunch of cash
to try again. No more puts for me (actually
I promised I would not try again til August
--never say never.).

*I say bottom fisher, I try to be a value
player, but do not have the training, lots
of guesswork in my picks.
