V.90 analog modems will satisfy a lot of people if the network can dish up instant responses to this meager connection. Not everyone wants to watch TV at their PC. They want instant quotes, instant access to SI threads, and search engine results. The backbone, servers and routers cannot handle this yet. What good is xDSL if there is nothing to feed it? An ISP that can deliver this capability will do well in my opinion and I would switch in a minute if I could find one.
