goldsnow - Very unfortunate that the communist opposition still enjoys a considerable level of support. Of course, they sowed dependency amongst a wide portion of the populace. A warning to us all. I recall reading this last fall that Norilsk was scheduled for a 6 month shutdown for maintenance and expansion early this year. I'll see what I can dig up. One of the small companies that I follow has recently received loans totalling US$85 million dollars from Barclays for 2 gold mines, one in South America and one in Russia. An investment that I find interesting in that it comes from a major European bank. regards - Tom
