buy with a limit at $8. ... executed ... Is it just me or
does that seem odd to anybody else when the low was $8.

Mitch,

It happens all the time under the new NASDAQ rules where
limit orders "go ahead" of the market makers. This is just
on the NAZ, not on the exchanges. It's a good way to "beat
the spread" on stocks with big bid/ask spreads. Just put
in a limit order to buy at the bid (or sell at the ask), and
keep your fingers crossed while saying three Hail Marys.

David

Hey Mitch! You Richard Singer, and Anaxagoras all resonded to my request for an old timers role call on this thread. I hope the newcomers read all three of your collective responses for a slightly different perspective from the grey-beards. I too am tired of hashing the same old arguements and have simply taken a seat on the 50 yard line. This game is far from over.

Still, yawn, long,
