Scott:, What slander? Read again. I responded to him that is all. I inspected his site and it does indeed have a non commercial outlook. When I made the question I had not seen it, but had seen his reference to it which was sprinkled into his comments 'like an advertiser would do' In fact a number of people have been chastised for such site ads on SI.

Re; Jobs, His nature is well known, even family members have e-mailed me in agreement.

I do not recall much of an attacking nature over the past week or two?, some comments about earnings being better, and clone concepts, quite mild, however Eric chose to drag up the past and make it current. So I perforce must combat it.

My jury is still out on Jobs. As was said by Eric he did not start the cuts, but finalized a process under way for the past two years.

The purpose of this thread is to comment about the past and future of Apple. In so commenting you can serve to help yourself or with ideas to help Apple. So you do not like my ideas?, make some of your own.
So you say your place is not to tell Apple what to do? A shareholders place is exactly that. All that is needed for bad to proceed is for good to do nothing. I refer to Scully and Amelio among others. Had there been a forum like SI years ago Investors would have the effect of an meeting in continuous operation, where comments could be evolved and would make it to management. Such feedback might have stopped the decline of Apple to it's low point last year.

In addition I have made comments that have been proved wrong and that have been proved right. Have you said zip?, or just share price consumer stuff.

So before you sit on your duff and assume we should all just go along for the ride, stop, and see what you can do to change things.
my experience is that an organization should never be blind to input from the ranks, unless it is dead in the water. My ideas may be good or bad, they may help or hinder Apple. I happen to think they will help Apple. You think not. Why call it drivel. Do you lack the ability to understand what I am saying?
If you understand it what parts are right, and what are wrong, and what are neutral to Apple.

What about the NC? Any comments?
