There appear to be two substantial bettors at the windows right now. The volume has been up considerably recently. On a few occasions our big seller has been rather silent in the face of considerable buying, or has let the bid come to offer, rather than the traditional slam. We have had some good news on two fronts; and some interesting rumors on a third. Metals prices are firming, or moving up slowly. Short selling of gold is on a noticable decline. A major copper company pres. said copper was not going to be down forever, and looked to see a rebound in the next 6 to 18 months. Many Majors have seen good appreciation in the past few months.

This is just what I have been reading. I'm not trying to sift for good info. Its beginning to turn toward somewhere else.

This trail has led through death valley after all; or damn near. But even Death Valley is having an incredible 'bloom' this year. So maybe as the El Nino drifts off toward the south this summer, we will see our SA sisters bring on a Paramount blush. A few diamond broaches wouldn't hurt either.

This may be short lived; it may not. I actually felt good when I saw the bids settle back to the .60 region. The release play just didn't make it. I might be reading it wrong but the stability of the thing was really reassuring. If the volitility is limited, then the volume may be sincere. That is we may be seeing some players who think like us but have the numbers to move quantities of stock; stock they are going to accumulate; not bail out of right away.

If nothing else accumulation means a force to offset the hose that the gobbler seems to use on the paramount camp fire every chance he gets.

I am not waiting for .54. Any news of a real deal and you can double to 1.30 no sweat. So I'm goin in 'one last time' and doin the ole 'average down' dance step across the betting room floor as I move to the window to place another round of bets. Man you can bet the girl to show and its still not a bad short term pay-off.

The race has changed. They have shot the old girl up, put on blinders, and moved her to the turf. I think we got us a stables favorite here and I'm goin for it.

See you in the Club House Bar.

regards,

mnmuench
