MANHASSET, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 1998-- Hewlett-Packard
Number One at $4 Billion Based on Retail Sell- Through

Compaq Computer was second with a 62.7 percent increase in sales,
despite larger gains in actual unit sales. At $3.65 billion, it
knocked perennial retail market leader Packard Bell-NEC out of its
1996 number two position.

Packard Bell-NEC represented the worst-case scenario, with declining
unit sales and revenues at retail. It dropped from second to third
place with retail sell-through of $1.65 billion.

Mang (and others),

Just noticed increase of 4771 (from very little
a few hours ago) contracts on
the 32.5 april call (price at 5/8).
Seems somebody is betting on
this stock closing above 33 today...(?)

Any opinions?

I'm hoping for a last minute close
of above 33.5 and also hoping for a rise on
Monday to 34-35 range.

Any thoughts anybody?
