And exactly who would do the mining for them? The Indonesian govt. may well be dishonest and sleazy but they aren't complete morons. A nationalization of FCX's property would mean the end of any foreign investment in their country and leave them with a very nice mine and no one capable of running it or expanding reserves. This just isn't going to happen. The fact is that as tragic as the current currency and political situation is for many Indonesian citizens, it is simply a reduction in labor costs for FCX which contributes to their bottom line.
Dividends are reduced, the will not disappear.
