Much thanks for your post. Regardless of how many "facts" you included I'm glad that someone is there to see what Rational is up to.

Being a software engineer, I've had a chance to see some of their products in action, and I and the people on my team are in awe of what the engineers on the "Purify" product have accomplished (it's a tool that helps programmers find and eliminate difficult-to-spot problems in their programs).

I remain convinced that Rational will succeed over the long haul.

thanks for your post, sounds very encouraging!. I am really also very positive about RATL and it's future (that's why I hold the stock), but since not much has happened in the stock price or any important news has emerged in a long time I guess I'm beginning to see threats such as the Visio news. But you're right that it is the product line that RATL competes with, and if they succeed in getting an integrated product line for the complete development cycle they can probably leave the low-end market to others.
