Tom, although I'm still a bear on really what these internet co's can make in terms of PROFITS, I must admit, there are some that could.
Unless, Amzn can get into a higher margin business, they are doomed for disappointment.
Do you think that corporate America will spend their hard earned advertising $$'s with Amzn, without giving it to Aol and Yhoo first?
Do you think that consumers will pay Amzn a web-site visit fee?
Do you think that B&N and Borders will surrender their market share to Amzn before a competative war begins? (margin errosion).
The only advantage that Amzn currently has is, they can save their customers from paying a state sales tax. If these states could go after Amzn for back or current sales tax, Amzn would be in bankruptcy quicker than I could say goodnight.
