The 16 April 98 message stated: "expected" close "by" 30 April 98. Note: the latest message does not say it will close on 30 April 98 - the actual close date is open-ended:)

For all those interested, we can email our complaints against CVIA/WOTD at this URL:
sec.gov
Mine has just been sent... I suggest that anyone who feels that they have been 'taken', do the same... otherwise, this company will continue issuing shares and diluting our position.. My 79,000 shares will soon become 260.. then after the next 300:1 split, I'll have less than 1 share... WOTD may say they want to make things 'right', but their intentions have already been made known......

Some thoughts: If this whole thing was another BB scam what would the bottom line be?

CVIA had no real value, WOTD has no real value. If CVIA talked to WOTD about the merger they must have discussed the range of outcomes. The best outcome being that we shareholders put these guys in charge of $200mm public Co with the riches that come with the positions. The worst scenario - for some reason the acquisitions don't happen or the stock just plummets - USE REG S $$$$ AS EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION and bail out with chapter 11 and just walk away. Each guy should be able to walk away with at least $100k. I'll bet that covers Jacks loss of investment. So that was what the reg s was for!!

The fact that neither party owns any REAL quantity of CVIA shares really drives this point home.

As for a law suit, I will be contacting my lawyer tomorrow for a reference for a securities specialist and we'll see if this mess is actionable. If any lurkers need to contact me about the legal action - email bmonahan@spectra.net. Good luck to you holders, the stock should go up nicely tomorrow because I sold :@

Lastly can we assume that the merger was scheduled to be closed yesterday and now it might be the end of april?
